Although plans for 2021 would be a bit different than what they used to be and your resolutions may not be the same when making them, people would still make their resolutions before the December 31 gets marked on the calendar. You might be thinking of getting more sleep, less social media, or having a healthier lifestyle.

This New Year, have some time reserved for your loved ones whether it’s a dinner plus movies in a week or having a healthy conversation during recreational activities.

Smoking is harmful to our health, yet, a lot of people are very addicted to it. We are well-informed of its effects on our health, such as getting lung cancer. 6. Face Whatever Scares You!

This is one of the hardest things to do in this list but it’s our personal favourite! It’s a challenging New Year’s Resolution. Sometimes, we don’t realize that the huge changes we wish to happen in our lives are on the other side of fear. Although change is instinctive, growth, on the other hand, is intentional. Try to question yourself, if you were confident and brave enough, what are the things you would do?

If you haven’t tried stepping out of your comfort zone, 2021 is the perfect year to be brave and do it. It’s time that you strive for things that make you happy in life!
 

7. Come Up With a New Cleaning Schedule

It will be a big relief if you don’t need to keep your home tidy without doing a deep clean every week. There may be some tricky spots in your home that needs under cleaning, but don’t you think that you are exaggerating it elsewhere. To avoid overdoing it, you may create a checklist whether it’s written or printable that can make sure that you are maintaining the house clean and it doesn’t take so much of your time on weekends anymore.
 

8. It’s Time to Quit Being a Phone Addict

The pandemic has made a lot of people to use their phones more frequently, ignoring other things that they can do aside from scrolling. If you are a phone addict, this is the time that you leave your phone addiction! Make a commitment to try spending an hour every day without your phone.

Are you always scrolling through your phone? Do you have a hard time not spending an hour without using your phone? Why not pause? Do something else or worthwhile! Not using your phone for straight 8 hours will make you more aware and connected to what’s happening around you.

If you aim to make a good difference and contribution in your community, then you can find an organization that you can volunteer in. If you don’t know where you can volunteer, identify what causes you’re passionate about, or groups that you would love to help with.

 

10. Make Self-Care Part of Your Routine

This is also our favourite New Year’s resolution in 2021 since a lot of us carry heavy daily responsibilities, and we tend to forget to take care of ourselves. Including self-care in your regular routine will help you manage the stress that life throws at you. Your self-care routine can include activities that you know help you to feel more relaxed. Make sure you schedule a specific time to do it so you won’t be able to forget it.
